Is It Haram to Listen to the Quran While Studying? Must Read
C.J Ahmed-03.04.2023
Listening to the Quran I a recording or on your phone while studying is not at all haram. As far as Islam is concerned there is nothing wrong in listening to the rec itation of the Quran while studying or engaging in any other worldy activities.
The argument against listening to the Quran while engaging in normal activities is that it is disrespectful to do so. There is evidence from the hadiths where the prophetsal) used to recite the Quran on the lap of Aiah (rali) while she was menstruating.
Aisha (rali) narrated,
“The prophet (sal) would recline on my lap while I was menstruating and recite the Quran.”(Bukhari and Muslim)
Islam is a very easy religion and extremism has no place in Islam. The prophet (Sal) said,
“None makes the religion difficult except that it overcomes him. So, aim for what is right, stick to the moderate way"
(Bukhari)
Narrated by Ibn Masud (Rali),
The prophet (Sal) said,
"Beware! The extremists perished," saying it three times."
(Abu Dawud-Graded Sahih by Albani)
