The real Islamic solution to the Uyghur and Rohingya crisis.
19/06/2019
The Uyghurs are mainly Muslims from China and the Rohingya are Muslims who resided in Myanmar before were forced to flee Neighboring Bangladesh by Buddhist extremists under the puppet government of Aung San Suu Kyi. The Uyghur Muslim brothers and sisters have been arbitrarily arrested and have been forced to denounce Islam and praise the disbelief of Communism that is the state ideology of the ruling Communist Party of China. Many stories of horror have been reported by Uyghur Muslims and there have been reports of torture reported and the Muslims in these concentration camps are reported to have been forced to eat Pork and drink wine.
The story of the Rohingya Muslim brothers and sisters are even worse. They are mostly now stateless and they have been forcibly driven out by the racist Buddhist extremist military junta that is controlling Myanmar and the puppet leader Aung San Suu Kyi. The Rohingya genocide is similar to the Nellie massacre in India in 1983 and the Rwandan genocide in 1994. Thousands of Rohingya have been forced to flee there homes to Bangladesh and stories of horror these Muslims have undergone is unthinkable.
The attacks on Muslims is not only limited to China or Myanmar. Muslims in several countries have been attacked because the disbelievers are afraid that Islam will prevail over them. No matter what they do or how much they plan, Islam will prevail and Allah says in the Quran,
"They want to extinguish Allah's Light with their mouths, but Allah will not allow except that His Light should be perfected even though the disbelievers hate (it).. It is He Who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth, to make it superior over all religions even though the idolaters hate'
(Al Quran- 9:32-33)
The above verse was revealed when the disbelievers tried there best to argue and lie to prove that Islam was false but Allah says that Islam will prevail and the guidance of Islam will reach all people. The prophet(Sal) said,
“This matter (Islam)will certainly reach every place touched by the night and day. Allah will not leave a house or residence but that Allah will cause this religion to enter it, by which the honorable will be honored and the disgraceful will be disgraced. Allah will honor the honorable with Islam and he will disgrace the disgraceful with unbelief.”
(Ahmed-graded Sahih by Albani)
The disbelievers might plan, but Allah is the best of planners.Allah (Swt) saysAnd [Remember, O Muhammad], when those who disbelieved plotted against you to restrain you or kill you or evict you. But they plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planner (Al Quran-8:30)
There are two things we as an Ummah can do right now. one is the ability to make dua for our Muslim brothers and sisters. The prophet(Sal) said:
"There is no Muslim servant who supplicates for his brother behind his back but that the angel says: And for you the same"
(Sahih Muslim)
The second is, the Muslim who has the ability to do more should do more to help his Muslim brothers who are suffering. Muslims rulers have the duty to help the Muslims who are suffering in China ,Myanmar and elsewhere and they should protect the Muslims by any means they can even if military help is necessary. Ibn `Umar (Rali) narrated that The prophet (Sal) said:
“A Muslim is a brother of (another) Muslim, he neither wrongs him nor does hand him over to one who does him wrong. If anyone fulfills his brother’s needs, Allah will fulfill his needs; if one relieves a Muslim of his troubles, Allah will relieve his troubles on the Day of Resurrection”
(Bukhari and Muslim)
The prophet (Sal) said:
"Whoever among you is able to help his brother should do so"
(Sahih Muslim)
A Muslim should help his brother according to his/her ability because Allah says, "Allah will not burden man beyond he can bear"
(Al- Quran- 2:286).
What Should a Muslim do When afflicted with trials.
Every Muslim will be afflicted with trails in this world as a test. Allah says in the Quran: “And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits"
(Al-Quran- 2:155)
And when afflicted, a Muslim should be patient till Allah makes it easy and rewards him for his patience. Allah loves his servant and in everything there is good for a Muslim if he is patient.
The prophet (Sal) said:
"Wondrous is the affair of the believer for there is good for him in every matter and this is not the case with anyone except the believer. If he is happy, then he thanks Allah and thus there is good for him. If he is harmed, then he shows patience and thus there is good for him"
(Sahih Muslim)
Trials can be reason that Allah wants to give something that is good for us. The porphet (Sal) said; “If Allah loves a people, then he afflicts them with trials. Whoever is patient has the reward of patience, and whoever is impatient has the fault of impatience.”
(Ahmed-Graded Sahih by Albani)
The prophet (Sal) said;
"Verily, the blessed person is one kept away from trials. Verily, the blessed person is one kept away from trials. Verily, the blessed person is one kept away from trials. How good is one who is afflicted but bears it patiently" (Abu Dawud-Graded Sahih by Albani)
The prophet (Sal) said;
"There is no gift that is better and more complete than patience”
(Bukhari and Muslim)
The prophet (Sal) said:
“A person will still be answered so long as his dua’ does not involve sin or severing ties of kinship, and so long as he does not become impatient.” It was said: O Messenger of Allaah, what does being impatient mean? He said: “Saying, I said dua’, and I said du’aa’, and I did not receive any response, then he becomes frustrated and stops saying du’aa”
(Sahih Muslim)
From these evidences from the Quran and authentic hadiths, it is clear that when a trial befalls a Muslim, asking dua with patience and persistence is the key for the ease of the calamity. Patience in no way does mean that you should endure any attack or hardship or pain inflicted by a disbeliever or enemy of Islam by just acting as a coward. When trials and afflictions come to a Muslim we see today how some so Muslim leaders react in some countries by engaging in Bidah, Shirk and Kufr to please the disbelievers.
Unfortunately, Muslims nowadays when afflicted with an affliction become cowardly and start doing things to please the disbelievers by praising them and even conducting rituals pertaining to those false religions in the mosques which is clear Shirk and Kufr. Some even go to the level of twisting the verses of the Quran and the hadiths to please the disbelievers and to legitimize their cowardice. Muslims should only stick to the Quran and the authentic hadiths of the prophet (Sal) as understood by the Sahabah and the Salaf and get away from the deviant interpretations of cowardly Muslims preachers and leaders who will weaken the Muslims faith and make them also a cowards and a sinners. The prophet (Sal) used to ask dua from cowardice.
Anas (Rali) narrated:
"The prophet (Sal) used to seek refuge with Allah saying, "O Allah! I seek refuge with You from laziness, and seek refuge with You from cowardice, and seek refuge with You from geriatric old age, and seek refuge with You from miserliness."
(Bukhari)
The prophet (Sal) also said: as narrated by Abu Hurayrah (Rali)
" What is evil in a man are alarming niggardliness and unrestrained cowardice".
(Abu Dawud-Graded Sahih by Albani)
When attacked by the Kuffar, It is a duty of a Muslim to defend himself. his property and his family.
The prophet (Sal) said :
“Whoever is killed protecting his property is a martyr. Whoever is killed protecting his religion is a martyr. Whoever is killed protecting his life is a martyr. Whoever is killed protecting his family is a martyr.” (Tirmidhi-Graded Sahih by Albani)
Based on these hadiths, it is upon a Muslim to defend his possessions when attacked by the enemy. This is self defense and all countries that support human rights have a system called self defense. In another hadith, A person came to the Messenger of Allah (Sal) and said:
Messenger of Allah, what do you think if a man comes to me in order to appropriate my possession? He (Prophet (Sal)) said: Don't surrender your possession to him. He (the inquirer) said: If he fights me? He (the Prophet (Sal)) remarked: Then fight (with him). He (the inquirer) again said: What do you think if I am killed? He (the Prophet(Sal)) observed: You would be a martyr. He (the inquirer) said: What do you think of him (Messenger of Allah) If I kill him. He (the Prophet (Sal)) said: he would be in the Fire.
(Sahih Muslim)
When a Muslim is in trouble or if there is violence meted on him, it is a duty of a Muslim to help his brother and protect him from those who are trying to kill or harm him.
The prophet (Sal) said:
"Support your brother, whether he is an oppressor or is being oppressed."
(Sahih al Bukhari)
The prophet (Sal) said:
"The Muslims are like a single man. If the eye is afflicted, then the whole body is afflicted. If the head is afflicted, then the whole body is afflicted."
(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim)
The prophet (Sal) said: The parable of the believers in their affection, mercy, and compassion for each other is that of a body. When any limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever.
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhari)
The prophet (Sal) also said:
"Whoever defends the honor of his Muslim Allah shall protect his face from Hell-Fire on the Day of Resurrection."
(Ahmed and Tirmidhi and graded Sahih by Albani)
From the guidance outlined in Islam it is clear that we as Muslims should ask dua from Allah to ease their difficulty and the Muslims who have the ability to do beyond that should help the Muslims in everything using their capabilities like authority, power etc. Islam is a religion of peace and mercy and the media tries to paint a wrong picture about Islam and Muslims. The truth is, Muslims are the most victimized people in the world and the evidence is here in this link shorturl.at/oAJZ9 . Islam teaches a Muslim to defend himself, his property, his honor, his family and his fellow brothers if violence is meted upon but at the same time Islam forbids to take revenge or harm innocent non Muslims who are friendly and kind to Muslims . Allah says in the Quran:
"Allah forbids you not with regard to those who fight you not for your faith, nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them. For Allah loves those who are just. Allah only forbids you with regard to those who fight you for your faith, and drive you out of your homes and support others in driving you out, from turning to them for protection (or taking them as wali). Those who seek their protection they are indeed wrong- doers."
(Al-Quran 60:8-9)
