Exposing-the-Kawarij-ISIS, Al-Qaeda-and-others

The word "Kawarij" is taken from the root word "kharaja"which means to to leave or go out. The main reason for them to be called in this manner was because of them going against the fundamentals of Islam and going against the way practiced and understood by the sahaba and the salaf.
The kawarij first emerged from Iraq and they will be the people who will recite the Quran but they will not practise it. The kawarij were the first to declare muslims as kafirs and they emerged during the khilafah of Ali(rali). According to Ibn Jawzi in his book Talbis Iblis, page 89,he said:
‘‘Ali returned from Siffin and entered Kufah: the Khawarij did not follow. Instead, they settled in Harura. There were twelve thousand of them, and they were declaring: la hukma illa li’Llah – “There is no judgement, except Allah’s.” This is how they initially started”
"Narrated that Yusayr ibn ‘Amr said: I said to Sahl ibn Hunayf: Did you hear the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say anything about the Khawaarij? He said: I heard him say – and he gestured with his hand towards Iraq –: “From there will emerge people who recite the Qur’an, but it will not go past their collarbones. They will pass out of Islam as an arrow passes out of the prey.”
(Bukhari and Muslim)
The kawarij are outwardly pious to such an extent the prophet(sal) told that the sahabas prayers and fasting is nothing compared to that of the kawarij. The prophet(sal) said.
‘There will arise among you a people whose prayer will make your prayer look insignificant, whose fasting will make your fasting look insignificant, and whose deeds will make your deeds look insignificant. They will recite the Qur’an but it won’t pass beyond their throats"(Bukhari and Muslim)
Yet being so pious, they are blood thirsty heretics who will kill a muslim if they do not agree to their deviant views.
The sahabi, Khabbab al aratt’s son Abd Allah was killed mercilessly when a number of the Khawarij rode into his village for supplies and thought to make an example of him. They fired their loaded questions at him. They first asked him about the caliphates of Abu Bakr, ‘Umar and ‘Uthman. ‘Abd Allah extolled them all and praised their successive caliphates.They then asked him about ‘Ali, and his state before and after the arbitration or tahkim. ‘He has far greater knowledge about Allah than you do,’ replied ‘Abd Allah, ‘and has much more piety in terms of his religion and possesses greater insight.’ With that, his fate was sealed. They bound and dragged him and his pregnant wife to an orchard ladened with date palms, next to a river. As they were proceeding to kill him, a date fell to the ground, so one of the Khawarij picked it up and put it in his mouth. ‘Do you do that without the owner’s permission and without paying for it?’ said one of his Kharajite comrades. He spat it out instantly. Another Khariji, wielding his sword in threatening circles, accidentally killed a cow that had been wandering behind him. His comrades insisted he should go and find the owner and pay him the full price of the animal. They waited whilst he did so. Thus, having acted most righteously in the matter of the date and the cow, they slit ‘Abd Allah’s throat and then disemboweled his wife. Date spat out, cow paid for, husband, wife and unborn child butchered; and with the clearest of consciences, they purchased their supplies and went on their way”
(Ibn Kathir, al-Bidayah wa’l-Nihayah (Dar al-Hijr, 1998), 10:584)
The prophet (sal) told thet the kawarij are young and have deficient intellects and during the end time(during the end of the khilafah of the rightly guided khalifs) they will come.
Prophet(sal) said:
There will arise at the end of time a people young in age and weak in intellect (hudatha’ al-asnan wa sufaha’ al-ahlam). Their speech will be that of the best of creation. They will recite the Qur’an but it shan’t go beyond their throats. They will shoot through the religion just like an arrow goes through the game. When you meet them, kill them; for in their killing you will receive a great reward from Allah on the Day of Judgement”
(Bukhari and Muslim)
The prophet(sal) said
“The Khawaarij are the dogs of Hell.”
(Narrated in Ibn Majah and graded sahih by Albani)
The kawarij declared the four rightly guided khalifs and all the muslim ummah including the companions as disbelivers. This was their attitude from then and now. ‘Ubayd Allah b. Abi Rafi‘, a freed slave of the Prophet(sal) that the Khawarij came out against ‘Ali, and declared: ‘There is no judgement, except Allah’s.’ So ‘Ali replied: ‘A word of truth, intended for something false (kalimatu haqq urida biha batil)”
(Sahih Muslim)
Narrated Abu Sa`id:
While the Prophet(sal) was distributing (something, `Abdullah bin Dhil Khawaisira at-Tamimi came and said, "Be just, O Allah's Messenger (sal)!" The Prophet (sal) said, "Woe to you ! Who would be just if I were not?" `Umar bin Al-Khattab said, "Allow me to cut off his neck ! " The Prophet (sal) said, " Leave him, for he has companions, and if you compare your prayers with their prayers and your fasting with theirs, you will look down upon your prayers and fasting, in comparison to theirs. Yet they will go out of the religion as an arrow darts through the game's body in which case, if the Qudhadh of the arrow is examined, nothing will be found on it, and when its Nasl is examined, nothing will be found on it; and then its Nadiyi is examined, nothing will be found on it. The arrow has been too fast to be smeared by dung and blood. The sign by which these people will be recognized will be a man whose one hand (or breast) will be like the breast of a woman (or like a moving piece of flesh). These people will appear when there will be differences among the people (Muslims)”
(Sahih al Bukhari)
The prophet also said that the kawarij are the worst of creatures.
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri said that the Messenger of Allah (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) made a mention of a sect that would be among his Ummah which would emerge out of the dissension of the people. Their distinctive mark would be shaven heads. They would be the worst creatures or the worst of the creatures. The group who would be nearer to the truth out of the two would kill them. The Messenger of Allah (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) gave an example (to give their description) or he said: A man throws an arrow at the prey (or he said at the target), and sees at its iron head, but finds no sign (of blood there), or he sees at the lowest end, but would not see or find any sign (of blood there). He would then see into the grip but would not find (anything) sticking to it. Abu Sa'id then said: People of Iraq. It is you who have killed them.
[Sahih Muslim)
In a Hasan hadith narrated by Ibn majah;
Abu Ghalib narrated that Abu Umamah said:
(The Khawarij) are the worst of the slain who are killed under heaven, and the best of the slain are those who were killed by them. Those (Khawarij) are the dogs of Hell. Those people were Muslims but they became disbelievers." I said: "O Abu Umamah, is that your opinion?" He said: "Rather I heard it from the Messenger of Allah."
: ‘A group of young men will rise up reciting the Qur’an, but it won’t pass beyond their throats. Whenever a group appears, it is to be cut off; until the Dajjal arises at their tale end.’ Ibn ‘Umar said: I heard the Prophet (sal) saying: ‘Each time a group appears, it is to be cut off’ more than twenty times.
(Ibn Majah-graded Hasan by Albani)
The above hadith clearly tells that the kawarij will appear till the Dajjal appears. When we look at the recent history, the kawarij have appeared as groups starting from twaheed wal jihad,Al qaeda, and now Dawlath ul Islamiyya(ISIS).
In another hadith ;
the Prophet(sal) said;
“And they will kill the Muslims and leave the
idolators. Should I live till they appear, I would kill them
as the Killing of the nation of 'Ad." (Bukhari)
The kawarij have three main characteristics.
1) To declare muslims as kafirs(making takfir)
2) To be rebellious to the leader and to not obey him.
3) Declaring the blood of the Muslim to be halal.
As points one and three have being explained in the above article. Let me explain Point two which is also another deviant characteristic of the kawaraij.
To be rebellious to the leader and the false Khilafat of ISIS.
Rebelling against a Muslim ruler and to forcibly take over the land has been the norm of the modern day Tmusnad,akfiris. Allah (swt) says in the Quran:
O you who believe! Obey Allaah and obey the Messenger (Muhammad), and those of you (Muslims) who are in authority. (And) if you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allaah and His Messenger, if you believe in Allaah and in the Last Day. That is better and more suitable for final determination. (Al Quran-4:59)
The above verse clearly orders that a muslim should obey the one who has been given authority. The prophet(sal) said;
“Whosoever obeys the ruler has obeyed me and whoever obeys me had obeyed Allaah; and he who disobeys the ruler has disobeyed me and whoever disobeys me has disobeyed Allaah”.( Bukhari and Muslim)
Furthermore the prophet(sal) said in another hadith;
“Whoever sees from his leader something of disobedience to Allaah, then he should dislike [in his heart] what he does of sinning against Allaah, but he must not remove even a hand-span away from obedience (to him).
(Sahih Muslim)
Obeying a ruler even if he is a tyrant is an obligation for a muslim in another hadith Narrated Hudayfh Ibn al-Yaman narrated
The Prophet sal (sal) said: "There will come rulers after me who do not guide to my guidance and do not practice my Sunnah, and the hearts of some them are the hearts of Satans but they are in the body of human."
I said: "What should we do at that time?"
The Prophet said:
"You should just listen to them and obey those rulers. No matter if they hurt you and take your wealth, you should follow them and obey them."
(Sahih Muslim)
Even criticizing a ruler is haram in Islam
The prophet (sal):
“Whoever wants to advise a sultan (leader/ruler) with a matter, do not do it outwardly but let him take him by the hand and go into seclusion with him. If he accepts it from him then that (is good) and if not then he (the adviser) has fulfilled that which was upon him (to do).”
(Musnad of Ahmad, as-Sunnah of Ibn Abee Aa’sim, authenticated by al-Albaanee).
A muslim is not allowed to remove a ruler unless there is clear evidence of kufr upon him from Allah(swt). There should be clear textual evidence for it.
The Prophet (sal) was asked regarding the unjust rulers, 'Shall we not fight them?' to which he (salallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) responded: No, except if you see a very clear kufr from them and you have proof from Allaah that this is kufr.
(Sahih al Bukhari)
The prophet(sal) said;
Whoever sees from his leader something of disobedience to Allaah, then he should dislike [in his heart] what he does of sinning against Allaah, but he must not remove even a hand-span away from obedience (to him). (Muslim)
The prophet(sal) said;
“Whoever wants to advise a sultan (leader/ruler) with a matter, do not do it outwardly but let him take him by the hand and go into seclusion with him. If he accepts it from him then that (is good) and if not then he (the adviser) has fulfilled that which was upon him (to do).”
Musnad of Ahmad, as-Sunnah of Ibn Abee Aa’sim, authenticated by al-Albaanee).
In another hadith
Ibn `Umar reported: Messenger of Allah (sal) said, “One who withdraws his hand from obedience (to the Amir) will find no argument (in his defense) when he stands before Allah on the Day of Resurrection; and one who dies without having sworn allegiance will die the death of one belonging to the Days of Ignorance.’‘
(Sahih Muslim)
(Note-the above hadith- one who dies without having sworn allegiance will die the death of one belonging to the Days of Ignorance.’‘ has been wrongly misquoted by the same kawarij groups ex:Masud Ahmed’s Jammath ul muslimeen which uses this hadith to say that the one who dies without allegiance to the ameer is a kafir. This kawarij statement is totally wrong as the real meaning of the hadith is that the person who dies the death of jahiliyyah means he will die in the state of misguidance without a ruler to be obeyed).
Anas (rali) reported: The Messenger of Allah (sal) said, “Hear and obey even if an Abyssinian slave whose head is like a raisin is placed in authority over you.”
(Sahih al Bukhari)
Abu Hurairah (rali) reported: The Messenger of Allah (sal) said, “It is obligatory upon you to listen and obey the orders of the ruler in prosperity and adversity, whether you are willing or unwilling, or when someone is given undue preference to you.”
(Muslim)
The prphet(sal) said:
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said, “Whosoever obeys me, obeys Allah; and he who disobeys me, disobeys Allah; and whosoever obeys the Amir (leader), in fact, obeys me; and he who disobeys the Amir, in fact, disobeys me.”
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
Abu Bakrah (rali)reported:
I heard Messenger of Allah (sal) saying, "He who insults the rulers Allah will insult him
(Tirmidhi with a sahih isnaad)
From the above evidences it is very clear that obeying a ruler is an obligation and fighting him,insulting him, criticizing him openly is totally forbidden in Islam. The kawarij do the opposite of and their means of avhiving their sick goals is bloodshed.
“A group of Muslims came to al-Hasan al-Basrī seeking a verdict to rebel against al-Hajjāj [13] (a tyrannical and despotic general). So they said, “O Abu Saʿīd! What do you say about fighting this oppressor who has unlawfully spilt blood and unlawfully taken wealth and has done this and done that?” So al-Hasan said, “I hold that he should not be fought. If this is a punishment from Allāh, then you will not be able to remove it with your swords. If this is a trial from Allāh, then be patient until Allāh’s judgement comes, and He is the best of judges.” So they left al-Hasan, disagreed with him and rebelled against al-Hajjāj – so al-Hajjāj killed them all. Al-Hasan used to say, “If the people had patience when they are being tested by their unjust ruler, it will not be long before Allāh will give them a way out. However, they always rush for their swords, so they are left with their swords. By Allāh! Not even for a single day did they bring about any good.”
(Tabaqāt al-Kubrā (7/163-165)
Abubakr al baghdadi’s khilafah is a bogus khilafah which is totally against that of what was established during the time of prophet(sal) and that of the righteous khalif’s.There is not a single scholar from the salaf among them. The complete concept is of khilafah has been misunderstood by the them. The truth is that dawlath in Iraq and sham is nothing but a Wilayah(an administrative province). There are very strong hadith to defeat this deviant concept of Abubakr al baghdadi and his ISIS khawarij heretics.
The first hadith.
The Prophet(sal)
He who swears allegiance to an Imam, he should give him the pledge in ratification and the sincerity of his heart. He should obey him to the best of his capacity. If another man comes forward as a claimant (when one has already been installed), behead the second.”
(Sahih Muslim)
The above hadith is very clear that Baghdadi should be killed according to the above hadith. Because Baghdadi his claiming to obey him while there are rulers(like in Saudi) who have being obeyed.
The second hadith
:Whoever gives a pledge(bayyah) to a man without consulting the muslims, That person cannot be given pledge nor the one who gave him the pledge, lest they both should get killed
(Sahih al Bukhari)
ISIS has established the khilafah without consulting all the muslims. And no muslim has agreed to this false khilafah.
The third hadith
The prophet(sal) said;
“Indeed after all, the Imam is a shield”
(Adu Dawud-authenticated by Albani)
The prophet(sal) also said;
“Only the Imam is a shield, behind whom you fight and you protect yourself with, so if he orders by taqwa and is just then he has reward for that, and if he orders by other than that then it is against himself”
(Sahih Muslim)
Abubakr al Baghdadi can only protect the muslims in his wilayah. The above two hadiths clearly prove that the imam is a cloak for the whole ummah who protects them. All of the above hadiths prove how deviated ISIS is.
Ibn Abbas(rali) debated the kawarij as mentioned in silsilath al hadith as saheehah by Sheikh Albani
Ibn Abbas(rali) said to the kawarij
I told them, “I have come to you from amongst the companions of the prophet (sal)the Muhājirūn and the Anṣār and from the son of the uncle of the prophet (sal)( Alī), who is his son-in-law. And upon them descended the Quran; they are more knowledgeable about it than you and there is not one of them (the companions) amongst you.
Some of the modern day kawarij groups and individuals are
1.ISIS
2. Al Nusrah
3.Al Qaeda
4. Jamaath ul muslimeen(Pakistan,srilanka)
5. Anjem choudary
6. Abu Haleemah and Abu Barah
7.Tawheedh Jamaath(T.N.T.J /S.L.T.J)
Beware of such groups and individuals and hold fast onto the rope of Allah(swt).
